joint pain exercise



Do you have problems with your joints? Pain or discomfort in your shoulders, elbows, hips or knees? Pain rise or daytime suffer from joint pain, since you obviously feel happy.

 In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) the joints associated with the Wood Element and the gallbladder. "Yes, and" you might think. But Wood Element, where the Liver and Gallbladder belong, they are able to flow freely from the power and flexibility so important.

How is it that matter with your flexibility? How flexible you are in life? How freely can flow your energy? Or is there somewhere too much pressure, causing correct problems in the joints? Or is there for so long talk of tension, which ultimately leads to wear? What is actually the signal that your body wants to give?

 If we keep only the physical pain and discomfort, then give the clients I often treat sure that they are so tired and so grumpy. They get to hear from the doctor that there's not much to do, but now's the pain and discomfort is not better, no matter what the cause. Do you recognize this?

 So when I was in the book "Yoga in your hands" by Gertrude Hirschi a mudra (hand position) ran for joints, it seemed fun to put on the website so that more people can try out. Here he is:


Mudra for joints

 In preparation: sit quietly, with both feet firmly and flat on the floor. Put to bring the tip of your tongue just behind your front teeth and try breathing into your belly area. Put your right hand thumb and ring finger together and put your left thumb and middle finger together (see photo).

 This mudra brings the energy in your joints in balance. Gertrude Hirschi recommends doing this mudra if necessary, or 4 times a day for 15 minutes. You could do this on television for example, or if you are traveling by public transport.

 It depends of course on what the underlying cause of your joint pain, but if you have severe problems with, of course it is worth bringing your joints energetically balanced.

Exercise for the joints
 In addition, there is another very good exercise for your joints. Which of course you can do when you have no problems with your joints. You love them so it nice and smooth ...


Lie on your back on the floor and bring your legs and arms all four vertically. first quietly shake hands and feet to relax them. Then slowly circles with your wrists and your ankles, for example, 5 times in one direction and then five times the other way. Please note that you hold while turning your wrists and ankles loose and relaxed. Make necessary afterwards large circles with your arms and legs. Finally, you can also bend a few times and stretch your arms and legs. All this, of course, quietly, without forcing yourself. Listen to your own limits here.

 If you then your arms and legs all four together again losschudt well, that's very good for the circulation of lymph fluid in your body.
