One in five men suffering from incontinence.

One in five men suffering from incontinence. And whether a few drops go when coughing or laughing, or whole shoots on exertion; it is always annoying.


Leakage is known as typical female trouble. Although women indeed suffer more often, there are also many men who have to deal with this problem. Among the 1 million people who suffer from incontinence are about 200,000 men, usually over 65 years. But younger men may have to deal with urinary incontinence.

Urinary incontinence, or loss of urine is a problem of the urinary system. Normally, the bladder stores the urine until the brains get the signal that the bladder must be emptied. Urinary incontinence occurs when a part of the urinary system no longer functions, or when there occurs an interference between the signals from the bladder to the brains.

Social isolation
Incontinence has a major impact on the way a person is in life. It is not only 'just' annoying; it often has a major impact on social life. People are ashamed, fear that other people smell urine loss and fear that they are not fast enough to find a toilet if the worst comes to the worst.

Overflow Incontinence

Overflow incontinence can be a possible consequence of a damaged bladder or blocked urethra. Also, nerve damage from diabetes can cause overflow incontinence.

Functional incontinence is urine leakage because someone can not reach in time the toilet. Think of mobility problems by a wheelchair or walking difficulties. Also problems of the musculoskeletal system (eg arthritis) or some (calming) drugs can cause functional incontinence.

total incontinence
The last form of urinary incontinence is the total incontinence, wherein the control of the bladder is completely gone. In general, the cause of total incontinence in injuries of the spinal cord or of the urinary system, birth defects, there are serious injury, or neurological disorders in the game.
