Low back pain almost always comes from the wrong strain

wrong strain of the lower back muscles. This may be related to an incorrect seated position, especially in the car or at the computer, but also by improper lifting, high body weight or lack of exercise. Also psychological stress can lead to unconscious prolonged contraction of the back muscles.

The muscles in the lower back have an important function for good posture, but also help to bear the weight of all that we are lifting and carrying. That dual function allows the back muscles vulnerable to all that is heavy, too long is performed in one position, or just happens too suddenly. This is true for those in the gym with a solid exercise will compensate for sedentary profession. But also a heavy backpack can eventually provide overload. Pregnant women can get by changing their posture suffer from back pain.

But precisely the opposite effect, say physiotherapists. Keep moving is the best way to get rid of the pain, for example by regularly for a walk. Cycling or swimming is also good. But take it easy; Research by the University of Maastricht shows that some people are going to move much at LBP they overload their beleaguered muscles correctly.

Long sitting is not good, especially for those comfortable soft chair or sofa. A hard, straight chair is better, possibly with a small cushion in the lower back. Turn the seat upright. Raise as little as possible. Avoid bending and twisting movements. Preferably use paracetamol as a painkiller. A hot shower, water bottle or heat compress helps to relax the muscles.
